On A Certain Class of Bessel Integrals
There are many old results of integrals involving Bessel functions, currently available in handbooks, but we found no recourse in the well-known references to how they were established. In this paper, we attempt to have a clear way of proving some of these results . In fact, we consider a certain class of Bessel integrals where we prove that such integrals vanish under certain conditions. To th...
متن کاملNumerical Calculation of Certain Definite Integrals by Poisson's Summation Formula
It is generally agreed that of all quadrature formulae, the trapezoidal rule, while being the simplest, is also the least accurate. There is, however, a rather general class of integrals for which the trapezoidal rule can be shown to be a highly accurate means of obtaining numerical values. Specifically, if the integrand is a periodic, even function with all derivatives continuous, then the int...

متن کاملIntegrals involving complete elliptic integrals
We give a closed-form evaluation of a number of Erd elyi-Kober fractional integrals involving elliptic integrals of the rst and second kind, in terms of the 3F2 generalized hypergeometric function. Reduction formulae for 3F2 enable us to simplify the solutions for a number of particular cases. c © 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
متن کاملGeneralized Elliptic Integrals and Modular Equations
In geometric function theory, generalized elliptic integrals and functions arise from the Schwarz-Christoffel transformation of the upper half-plane onto a parallelogram and are naturally related to Gaussian hypergeometric functions. Certain combinations of these integrals also occur in analytic number theory in the study of Ramanujan’s modular equations and approximations to π. The authors stu...
